Bimal Karmar Foundation and Rotary Sadan East Calcutta jointly organized a conference on Cadaveric Organ Transplantation as a part of celebrating World Kidney Day on 14th March, 2013. The conference was held in Rotary Sadan, East Calcutta.
Doctors, eminent personalities and interested members from various strata of society participated in the conference.
Mr. Uttam Ganguly, DG, Rotary Club, Mr. P Tandon, CEO Belle Vue Clinic, Dr. A R Nandy, eminent nephrologist, Dr. K B Bakshi, eminent heart specialist, Dr. Sumit Poddar, social worker and physician, Dr. Niranjan Bhattachary, Leading researcher on Stem Cell, Rotarian Amitava Mukherjee and many others delivered speecehes during the day.
ITU incharge, Belle Vue Clinic and Secretary of Bimal Karmakar Foundation, Dr. Saurabh Kole praised the relatives of Bimal Karmakar for agreeing to the donation and paid his respects to Bimal Karmakar. He appealed to everyone for agreement in cadaveric organ donation in case of brain deaths of the near relatives. He stressed that Bimal Karmakar's organ donation saved two lives. Each organ donation can save more than a life.
He appealed to all come together in this endeavor to save lives.
